Zholkovsky lock - architectural monument of the Renaissance. Included in the State Register of the national cultural heritage of Ukraine under № 1928 (385 / 0).

Жолковский замок

built a castle on the order of Stanislav Zolkiewski in 1594-1606 years as a defensive structure in the Renaissance style. The castle withstood a siege, although it several times to win the Cossacks .At the end of the XVII century was the favorite residence of Polish King Jan III Sobieski , in which the castle went through a period of prosperity. The modern form of lock acquired as a result of many modifications and neglect during XIX-XX centuries . Now lock remodel, open for inspection courtyard and the museum.
