The entrances to the cathedral were once equipped with porticos. They consisted of four and six columns, but , unfortunately , to this day they do not have survived .The drum is located above the central part , is crowned with a massive dome, which has a hemispherical shape. The walls are decorated pilasters and window openings - sandriks .
Transfiguration Cathedral is a monument , which is even more emphasized with 3 porches .In the XIX century, built a four- tiered bell tower high , which was dismantled as early as 60 years of the twentieth century . This gave the bell area of the Cathedral festive appearance. Around the cathedral stood a brick fence , which is decorated with wooden burr , standing on a wooden base.
