Stroganov Palace - Stroganov Palace , built by the architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli in 1753-1754 , one of the samples of Russian baroque. Now - a branch of the State Russian Museum , which owns the building in 1988.
main collection of paintings owned by Count Alexander Stroganov . It was compounded by Count S.Stroganov. In XX century, the palace has got a collection of Count PS Stroganov.
The restoration started in 1991. By 2010, completed all work except the three rooms on the front floor - Picture Gallery ( the cabinet) , the Library and the Physical Cabinet .Currently work is underway in the Picture Gallery and there is a chance of opening it to the public in 2011.
