The temple was built in the XIX century and at the request of the means of the new residents of the city of Simferopol. The Christian population of Simferopol in dire need of a spacious temple, as a small Constantine and Helen Church could no longer accommodate all the parishioners.
A modern architectural appearance of the cathedral combines elements of different styles : the classic form of organically combined with the forms of ancient architecture. High windows are decorated with white stone architraves. The upper part of the building is decorated with a stepped cornice and zakomary , which are arranged around the recess .Building is crowned with a dome light drum bulbous shape.
At the entrance to the cathedral arranged porch - the porch. A stone staircase leads to the entrance , above which stretched to the sky a slender tower. The main entrance is framed by a thin semi-columns , delight the eye with bright mosaics of Jesus Christ of Saints Peter and Paul, who is named in honor of the temple .
The interior of the church great. In the temple, two chapels : in honor of St. John of Kronstadt and St. Seraphim of Sarov. Since 2003, Peter and Paul Cathedral was given the status of cathedral .
