The Norwegian Railway Museum (Norwegian Norsk Jernbanemuseum) - National Railway Museum in Norway , located at Mjøsa near the town of Hamar .
is administered by the Norwegian National Rail Administration.
It was founded in 1896 in the town of Hamar, but in 1954 moved to Mjøsa .The Museum presents collection of old station buildings , locomotives and wagons early years of the railway in Norway. The museum also has a large library of literature and the railway a rich collection of photographs of railways, made by both professionals and amateurs.
In the new building of the museum, open only in summer months, presented a video exhibits , computer simulations, animated films.
In the summer, the museum operates narrow gauge railway .
