On the street Pushkin at number 13 is the literary-memorial museum of Alexander Pushkin.

In the 20s of the XIX century, this house belonged to a well-known Odessa merchant - Charles Sukkar .

 

 

 

This is one of the first hotels of the young city - 'Hotel du Nord', where there were rooms for the visitors, coach-houses with stables .

 

 

 

On his arrival in Odessa, July 3, 1823 , Pushkin stayed in this hotel and lived there for a month.

 

 

 

For thirteen months, he created the Odessa poem ' The Gypsies ' over poem ' The Fountain of Bakhchisarai ' written lyric poems and thirty two and a half chapters of the novel ' Eugene Onegin' .
