Odessa State Economic University is one of the leading and oldest economic institutions of higher education in Ukraine. Founded in 1921.
In 1931, the country's credit reform was carried out . In this regard, the Odessa Institute of National Economy was reorganized into a bank and Economics Institute ( OKEI ).In 1966 OKEI reorganized into the Institute of National Economy , which becomes a wide- center training and retraining of economists for industrial, construction and agriculture.For their achievements in training highly qualified specialists and the development of research in 1971 in connection with the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Odessa Institute of National Economy was awarded the Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of USSR.
Based on the results of accreditation in 1993institution was classified as high , IV level of accreditation. Worthy of evaluating the merits and achievements of staff of the Odessa Institute of National Economy to the government , the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by its Order dated August 13, 1993 created the basis for his Odessa State Economic University ( OSEU ).
All this shows that that the Odessa State Economic University is an authoritative educational and scientific center of the southern Ukraine, which trains highly qualified specialists in economics , graduate studies , pre-university training ,conducts scientific research on topical issues of national economic development ,International Personnel Academy of the European Centre for Higher Education and the Joint Council of the European University OSEU noted among the top 10 Ukrainian universities, which train more skilled workers.Training of generalists by 24 departments , which comprise in its composition 450 teachers , including 47 professors and doctors , 270 assistant professors and Ph.D. candidates . Among them, 12 honored workers of higher education , science and technology, 10 academicians .Training of researchers through postgraduate and doctoral courses in 10 specialties :Political Economy , governance and management of the economy , statistics , economics and mathematical methods ; accounting, auditing and analysis , public finance, banking, business economics and forms of management , management , work and employment , social infrastructure:

OSEU is a member of the International Association for the training of economists .
LOGISTICAL BASE UNIVERSITY.University razmeschyaetsya four academic buildings , in which there are libraries and reading rooms. They, and 20 teaching classrooms and laboratories equipped with modern scientific and methodical literature, which is published annually , more than 500 printed pages.
University students created the proper living conditions, capabilities meaningful leisure activities.
