Ukrainian National Museum of Toys opened January 1, 2005 . The basis of the museum's collection was a 10- thousandth of a collection of toys, which dates back to the 30s of last century.The visitors brought technical and design toys, dolls , figurines , soft toys, unique collection of printing games, Christmas decorations - all offering the toy industry in Ukraine for 70 years .
The movement of design ideas , as well as the constant influence of scientific and technical progress is reflected in industrial designs sewing machines 50- 70s , toy irons ( from coal to electric ), etc. Adults and children will surprise working model steam engine, the first artificial Christmas tree made of chicken feathers.
The museum presents the works of talented Ukrainian sculptors and painters , but, still , an inexhaustible source of new toys are a collection of domestic and imported , donated to the museum by visitors themselves .These toys to play with more than one generation of children, and today they take pride of place in the exhibition and return of adults , at least an hour in my distant childhood .
