Kon-Tiki - a world famous raft. In 1947 a young Norwegian scientist Thor Heyerdahl and his five friends sailed for 101 days on this raft on the Pacific coast of Callao ( Peru ) to the island Raroyya ( Polynesia ). In addition to the raft, there are other exhibits Heyerdalom obtained by visiting Easter Island.The museum also presents papyrus boat Ra II, on which Heyerdahl crossed the Atlantic in 1970
The museum presents the court , and objects used during all the expeditions of Thor Heyerdahl - Kon-Tiki , Fatu Hiva , and Ra and Ra II, Tigris , and the trip to Easter Island .In addition , the museum has a special room for temporary exhibitions.
