The museum is located in the water Kreschatom Park , one of the beautiful hills that stretch along the banks of the Dnieper .The main goal of the museum - to inform people about the hydrosphere of the Earth and Water Resources of Ukraine, their vulnerability and need for life, technology training for safe drinking water in centralized water supply, sewage and wastewater treatment, as well as best practices for water use.
Water Museum was opened in 2003 and renovated in the old water tower which is more than 130 years.The museum exposition is placed under the ground - a huge fish tanks, elevator in the basement, working model of an artesian well , a giant toilet, sewer and fairy grotto with a waterfall and even the present storm with rain, thunder and lightning .For children there is a playground where you can play with soap bubbles , to create his own channel of the river and touch the fantastic fish.
