Defense monastery on the banks of the Diet was built in the late XVI-XVII centuries . based on the strength of the Lithuanian times , which was called the Kremlin. Abode was founded in 1570, the monks moved to the fortress of 20 kilometers from the city Molchansky desert. In 1604,in the walls of the monastery hidden king pretender Dmitrii I, acted here in Moscow after the death of Boris Godunov. The complex is dominated by Church of the Nativity of the Virgin , built in 1575-85 years . and reconstructed several times in the XVII-XVIII centuries . Bell tower serves as the gate of the fortress , and the fragments of the wall with a corner tower.The complex also includes a built in XIX century. St. John the Baptist Church , rectory and keliyny case , the refectory and outbuildings.
