Ukrainian poet ( LP Kosach) - Lesia Ukrainka ( 1871-1913 ). The cradle of her work was her time living in the Crimea - Yalta, Evpatoria, Saki , Balaclava.
In Yalta, Lesia Ukrainka created a cycle of poems Crimean echoes , worked on a dramatic poem, Iphigenia in Tauris , which end it failed .Poet suffered serious illness - bone rheumatism.
In Yalta, Lesia Ukrainka lived near the city's nabererezhnoy in one of the tenements merchant EF Lischinskoy from 1897 to 1913. Now here is the literary- memorial museum, next to whom in 1972 a monument to Lesya Ukrainka.Author sculptor Galina Nikiforovna Kalchenko handed it to the city for the 100th anniversary of the poet. Poet depicts a pensive pose sitting on a beach, with arms crossed . Pedestal are diabase blocks up from the bottom of the sea at Ajudag .
The museum presents the life and work of the poet .Museum are : lifetime editions of the works of Lesia Ukrainka pictures relatives, types of furniture , the Ukrainian national costumes and more.
