Crimean Ethnographic Museum - Branch of Crimean Republican Museum of Regional Studies , established by the Council of Ministers of ARC in December 1992. The museum is housed in a building on Pushkin Street , 18, where in April 1999 opened stationary exhibition mosaic of cultures of the Crimea.

 

The exhibition is housed in 2 halls of the exposure area 260 square meters. m.and discusses the material and spiritual culture of 13 ethnic communities of Crimea: the Armenians, Belarusians , Bulgarians, Greeks , Jews, Karaites , Crimean Tatars, Krimchaks , German, Russian , Ukrainian, Czech and Estonian . The exhibition includes more than 700 exhibits of the main fund . In general, the museum is 3,500 exhibits.

 

The museum collection is represented by sets of tools, ceramics and pottery , traditional clothing , religious objects , photographs and other curiosities of the museum are the collections of Crimean Tatar jewelry, Ukrainian clothes of different regions , unique household items Genocide , Krimchaks , Estonians.

Funds are replenished CEM is mainly due to the exhibits sent to the Museum of Crimean residents sat down. Collection of exhibits is in the process of forwarding and individual visits scientists in the areas of compact residence of the studied ethnic groups .

 

The priority areas of the Crimean Ethnographic Museum are : research , exhibition and public education .

On the basis of the ethnographic museum practices conducted TNU, Slavic University, KGIPI and other educational institutions.
