Kostroma Oblast Puppet Theatre was created about 70 years ago, is one of the oldest theaters in Russia. From this day dates back to the theater. 60 years ago , in 1946 the theater had its own dollhouse .This building is the former People's Reading Room named after A. Ostrovsky , built in 1886 on the initiative of the inspector of public schools Kostroma province , ME Mikiforova by architect I.
