This is one of the oldest planetarium in Ukraine , which opened its doors on January 1, 1952 in Alexander refurbished church.
In 1988, Kyiv planetarium moved to new premises.
The new building was installed machine Big Zeiss IV, allowing show 6500 stars of the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
Star hall of the planetarium dome has a diameter of 23.5 meters and can accommodate 320 spectators.
Opportunities Planetarium can be explained with great clarity the laws of nature and feel that no school , no books , no TV can not give , so there are lectures on astronomy, geography , natural history .
