Donetsk Regional Museum of Art

The museum collection was formed from the proceeds of the republican and All-Union Art Exhibition , from the collections of leading museums in the state of the USSR, the acquisition of works from private collections and individual donations. Over the years, the funds , there are several full-scale collections, which determined the nature of a permanent museum display .Today, more than 12 000 paintings, drawings , sculpture, decorative art are the museum's collection .

High has a collection of Western European art XV 11 HIHst . , Which consists of works by artists of Italy , the Netherlands, France , Germany, Spain and Poland.One section of the exhibition introduces visitors to the works of ancient arts and crafts.

 

The pride of the meeting of Russian and Ukrainian art XVI - XXst . is a collection of icon painting , portrait painting of the XVIII century . and the works of such classics of the domestic arts, as O. Kiprensky , I. Aivazovsky, Shishkin, Serov, V.Surikov , Z. Serebryakov, Korovin, Kuprin, Falk , Konchalovsky , I. Dryapachenko , P. Levchenko , I. Trush , S. Malyutin , L. Kramarenko.

 

The modern Ukrainian painting is represented by the works of N. Glushchenko , M. God Yablonska T. , A. Erdelyi, A. Kotzk , Z. Sholtesa .The museum has a large collection of works by contemporary painters Donetsk , drawing, sculpture , arts and crafts.

A significant place in the collection is a collection of original and printed graphics , with over seven thousand letters . Among them - the highly artistic works of A. Savrasov , I. Shishkin, K. Trutovsky , P. Levchenko, C.Sorin , V Shuhaeva , A. Yakovlev , I. Yefimov.

 

The collection of decorative arts of the nineteenth -XX century .Poltava are carpets, Kiev, Kosovo and opeshnyanskaya ceramics, decorative painting , glass Gutnov Lviv , Carpathian wood carving, traditional costume , as well as works by contemporary Russian and Ukrainian professional masters of ceramics, textiles, glass.

 

The museum has a department - a museum of folk architecture, lifestyle and children's creativity in rural Prelesne Slavic region Donetsk region - one in the eastern region of Ukraine.

 

The work of recruiting , scientific study and promotion of the museum's collection continues.Today, on the eve of its 70th anniversary , the museum opens its door to welcome the audience.
