Donetsk Regional Russian Drama Theatre , Theatre in the city of Mariupol, in southern Ukraine. Modern Theatre was built in 1960.
1934 - Theatre sozday Donetsk Music and Drama in Mariupol (Head - A. Smirnov , chief director - A. Iskander ).
1959 - the theater has received the status of Mariupol , Donetsk State Theater.
1960 - November 2, officially opened the new theater building .
1978 - Theatre celebrates the 100th anniversary. The team received an honorary award for significant achievements in the performing arts .
1985 - Small Stage Theatre opened.
In addition to performances of contemporary playwrights have always been represented by Russian and foreign classics : works of Tolstoy, Pushkin , Moliere, Chekhov , Bulgakov, Nabokov, Maeterlinck , Shakespeare, Shukshin Nina Sadur , Samuil Marshak , Eugene Schwartz and many others.
