Botanical Garden Acad. A. Fomin Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, located in the historical center of Kiev, adjacent to the main building KNU . Shevchenko and is 22.5 hectares. According to ancient legends of this area belonged to Lybed - Sister Kya, cheek and Horeb, who were the founders of the city.It is named after sometime deepest and broad river , which flows into the Dnieper. It was here , on the left side of the valley Lybed , and was defeated by the university garden.
