The Orangery , located in the Central district of St. Petersburg, at the corner Shpalernaia Potemkin and streets adjacent to the Tauride Garden.
It was conceived as early as during the construction of the Tauride Palace , begun in 1782 by order of Catherine II. The plan of the architect and the Empress at the palace adjoined Palm greenhouse.However, to embody the idea in its original form failed. During the half century conservatory was rebuilt many times . In 1936 he was brought here from the city of Pushkin's greenhouse , and this point can be considered the birth of Flowers Exhibition Hall .
In 2005-2006, the exhibition hall was closed for reconstruction.
From 2006 until the end of 2009, he was always open to visitors. The exhibition was not only to see the various flowers, including exotic, but also liked to buy copies. The room always arranged exhibition of ornamental plants, as well as days of sales.Exhibition Hall of Flowers are not only colorful attractions of St. Petersburg , but also a favorite place for honeymooners because of its proximity to the Wedding Palace Furshtatskaya street .
Flowers Exhibition Hall is open daily from 7:30 to 19:00.
